I am going back to what I used to do as a child with some technology added. Every year I’d go with my parent’s to the library book sale and spend the entire time looking through National Geographics and other magazines to see all the cool old ads and pictures. All the retro pictures all over tumblr and the rest of the interweb reminded me that I still love old ads and photos, so I decided to scan them!
No reblogging here. Everything on this blog from here out was scanned by me. Feel free to reblog :P
Gone are my days of making websites in a text editor, I got a cheap webhost and hacked up wordpress into a semi-functioning site and spent all that website creation time doing something more useful (anything!).
I just started back with film and I’m actually learning a little about photography this time around instead of just taking a million pictures and never developing them. My digital went to my mom after hers broke. I wasn’t really using it any more since I found the whole thing kind of boring. I figured out I like cameras and the whole wondering if the picture came out and waiting to get the film back to see what every thing looks like process more than I actually like photography so I’m going to be taking pictures exclusively with film for a while (not because I’m trying to be more of a hipster).
I currently have a Minolta X-370 which I keep finding awesome lenses for in thrift shops, an 80’s Nikon point and shoot, a 110 film Vivitar, a Polaroid Sun 600, and I’m on the lookout for a Polaroid Land Camera like I used to have back when you couldn’t buy film for them.
